On March 16, Chimi Eyewear released a new bow together with the fashion giant Net a Porter. A feminine, see through and cat eye shaped piece in a color that kindly stands out. The piece is available for purchase in a very limited edition at Net-a-Porter and Chimi Eyewear.
Iconic eyewear revamped. That is the idea behind Chimi’s latest collaboration with the fashion giant Net-a-Porter. Something you have seen before, but with a twist. This is the Swedish start-up’s second collaboration and the first one to be made together with an international fashion department. The cat eye shape, a historically famous shape worn by Hollywood celebrities and the original it-girls, is the inspiration behind the piece.
- With this collection we leave a mark on the recurring super trend. The cat eye shape became popular in the mid 50’s and 60’s and has been a conspicuous and classical street style essential ever since. We wanted to create a piece that embraces the soul of retro and revamp it. Creating this piece together with Net-a-Porter has been a grea opportunity for us to enter a new area in fashion and add something new to Chimi as a brand, says Charlie Lindstrom, Head of Design at Chimi Eyewear.
The collaboration will go live on March 16, available for purchase in a very limited edition on Net-a-Porter.com and Chimieyewear.com. NET-A-PORTER will be the only authorized online destination beyond Chimi’s own channels. The design appeals to the unique style of the modern Net-a-Porter woman. The collaboration aims to help reach out to all women in the audience of Net a Porter, who speaks to a global monthly audience of 6 million female luxury consumers, fans and followers.
